Happy March! We’re right on the edge of Spring here in South Carolina and I am thrilled for the warmer weather. If it is still gray and snowy where you are, the sunshine is coming soon.
I’m going to keep this short—two big updates and one request.
Update 1: Book giveaway!!
There is a Goodreads giveaway for DOLL PARTS running from now until March 30. You can enter to win one of ten ARCs.
I can’t quite articulate why I am so excited about this giveaway except to say that it is one of the author milestones that my brain latched onto long ago and I have dreamed of this moment for years. As more readers discover that DOLL PARTS exists, it all starts to feel more real. It’s less than six months to pub day!
Truthfully, I know there are lots of feelings about Goodreads, but for now, it is also a way that readers can find my book, as well as a way for my publisher to see some momentum growing. Hopefully more reviews (which I promise not to read) will trickle in, as well.

Update 2: Netgalley ARCs!!
If you are familiar with Netgalley and have an account, you can read the e-ARC of DOLL PARTS now. No approval needed. I am especially charmed by the option for reviewers to rate the cover with a thumbs up or thumbs down. I mean, I’d be more charmed without the thumbs down option, but I’m hoping for lots of downloads and more reviews.
Excited and not nervous at all.
Read DOLL PARTS on Netgalley now.
Small Request: Help me share
If you are able to share this post or tell others about the Goodreads giveaway (along with other big updates like pre-order links), it would be so appreciated. As it turns out, while much of writing is solitary, the rest of the process is anything but. Find me on Instagram (or any of the other sites), too! Let’s be social together.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of readers and writers willing to help spread the word and also pre-order DOLL PARTS. I only get to be a debut author once and it has been a wild ride so far. I’m going to keep enjoying every milestone. Little seven-year-old Penny is doing a very awkward happy dance.
I’ll be back later in March with some musings about the writing process and behind-the-scenes details of Book 2 (!!!).
I’m so glad you’re here and hope to catch up soon.
Big love to you,
Penny
