I'm shockingly low at 35, but I'm not actually surprised...I think the overlap in our Venn diagram of book tastes is pretty low. I'm currently in the middle of (among other books) How to Sell a Haunted House, which I think probably checks a few of your boxes. I'm super excited for Doll Parts, though!
53. I gave "Lincoln in the Bardo" three points for starting it. I think we are more similar than my score dictates. The difference lies in the speed and ferocity of book consumption between us. (You have it, and stare in wonder at how to get it.)
Since amassing a TBR the size of the Burj Khalifa poses no threat to the environment, I'll keep noting what you consume and add those books to my list.
It's like you tailor made this post for me, Penny. I love book lists of any sort. I am always looking for "getting to know you" exercises for writing students. I love fanning over favorites and discovering readers with similar tastes who can put more great stuff on my radar. *And* I'm super into cheering on writers with forthcoming debuts. My debut pub date is 18 months away (and yes, I know exactly how many days, lol).

I’ve been really interested by that one!!

I agree. Also, do you love John Scalzi’s work? I think that is one bookish space where we could see more overlap.
I loved Starter Villain. I may use it as a comp title as well.
I think that is the perfect comp for you. I will be so eager to talk in great detail about all of this at JUPITER!!!!!
I can't count. But you're the only other person who's mentioned Big Swiss, so I'm swooping back around to grab that off the TBR :)
I think you will love it
150! We have good taste in books lol
Yeah, we do 😘
140! Love seeing some of my faves in there Like Secret Lives of Church Ladies and Martyr! Totally borrowing this idea.
Yes—please do! It was a fun distraction.
Oh I love this! 130 points for me, whew
That’s a lot of overlap!
Only 75, but I love the idea of this test!
It was so much fun!
195, bebe!! Guess our friendship makes sense ;)
Yesssss
85??? I will add some more of these to my “to read” list!
That’s right—we have really similar taste.
75, and I'm totally stealing this 😂 but what counts as a "high score" vs. a "low score"?
Steal away! I think that’s a good score—whatever that means 😂

Cheering you on! 18 months will feel both fast and slow. 😅❤️
using it for a student 'get to know you' exercise is genius!
I’m excited to try it!
