Hi Penny! Love the article - I work with Save the Cat! and we'd love for you to add a backlink to www.savethecat.com - would that be possible? I'd also like us to connect and see if we can work with you down the road - my email is jason.kolinsky@savethecat.com
Bird by Bird is such a classic! And I'm intrigued to check out Matt Bell. I have so many favorite writing books...the three that come to mind are "The Art of Writing Slow" by Louise DeSalvo, and "The Writer's Portable Mentor" by Priscilla Long, and "The Perennial Seller" by Ryan Holiday!

My writing craft books sit right next to my parenting books which sit right next to my perpetual self-doubt.

I have to check out Matt Bell’s book. Thanks for that!
I’ve loved Jen Hilt’s Trope Thesaurus recently. It shows you how to create fresh, multi-layered stories using well-loved story devices.
Matt Bell is a f---ing genius!
